A Terrorist Bombing Forgotten

When we think of a terrorist, what are we conveying in our minds?  First, let’s figure out the definition of a terrorist or terrorism.  Terrorism is a noun that has three meanings, depending on how the word is used in a sentence.  The first meaning is the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.  The second meaning is the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism.  The third meaning is a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.  With all of this said, one group of people can cause fear into another group of people and it would be considered as terrorism.  Would Klu Klux Klan be considered as a terrorist organization?  Would the Black Panthers be considered as a terrorist organization?  Would Communism be considered as a terrorist organization?

The United States of America has a long and said history of terrorizing its own citizens.  I would expect that from other countries as a result of change of power or civil wars within their own country due to religious beliefs.  The United States of America is supposed to be a land of the free.  This means we are free to do whatever we desire and be whoever we desire to be within the law of the land.  After all, this is one of the lyrics in the United States National Anthem.  The Star-Spangled Banner was written by Francis Scott Key, September 14, 1814 while watching the British attack Fort McHenry, Maryland.  Now here is a man, an immigrant from another country, who wrote an anthem to signify freedom in the “new world,” called the United States of America.  Why would I call Mr. Key an immigrant although he was born in the United States?  Even though he was born in the United States, his ancestry is not from another country or combination of countries.  The Natives from northeast Asia were the first in North and South America who migrated via Siberia from a bridge that lead into Alaska.

Since we understand the terminology of what a terrorist is, we can get into a terrorist bombing forgotten.  As I searched the internet to find information on all terrorist bombings in the Unites States of America, only one source revealed the information that I am going to present. I was surprised not to find this information on foxnews.com.  Foxnews.com has a page dedicated to “History of bombings in the US, including famous attempts that failed since the late 1800’s,” and this story is not on included on this specific page of their site.  When someone thinks of the first bombing ever on American soil, what comes to mind?  Some may say the bombings against us by us during the American Civil War.  Others may say the bombing of an Oklahoma building in 1995 by Timothy McVeigh, which is considered one of the deadliest terrorist attacks.  Even so, some may say the two airplanes that crashed into the World Trade Towers, also called 9/11 may be the first.  This attack is something different and should be considered as one of the most despicable attacks against American people by American people in our history; a history silenced.  Why would the Civil War not count as the first bombing on American soil?  It’s simple.  The Civil War was between two countries; the Confederate States of America (also called the Rebels with Alexander, Virginia as their headquarters after being moved from Montgomery, Alabama) and the United States of America (also called the Union with their headquarters in Washington, District of Columbia).  Because this nation was not considered one complete country, we cannot use this as the first bombing on American soil by Americans.

I will set the stage for you.  The date is 1921.  The place is Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Most people don’t know or have not heard of this, or what actually happened during this time.  This was called the Tulsa race riot of 1921.  How did this come to pass?  The attack was carried out by air and ground, destroying more than 35 blocks of the Greenwood district, one of the wealthiest communities of those of African descent.  More than eight hundred people were admitted into hospitals and over six thousand residents were arrested or detained.  Sources estimated over three hundred people of African descent dead.  What caused this riot?  A woman of European descent accused a man of African descent in raping her.  After finding out the suspect may be lynched, the residents charged into the police station with weapons to stop the injustice.  During the confrontation, many people died, including people of European descent.  This led to thousands people of European descent destroying stores and homes.  The rampage left over ten thousand residents of the community homeless as well as over one and a half million dollars in property damage and seven hundred fifty thousand dollars in personal damages.  This was a community that had a few European descent residents and people of African descent were doctors, lawyers, optometrists, bank owners, and had other successful businesses.

Why did people of European descent destroy the homes and business of the residents of Greenwood?  Why were there airplanes dropping dynamite on the rooftops of buildings?  Why were the police and National Guard helping those of European descent run those of African descent out of their community?  We all can come up with a lot of different reasons.  Some of these reasons may be good, and other reasons may be skeptical.  Some would say “playing the race card” and others would say let’s be realistic.

As we look throughout the history of the United States of America, we can see this country was divided among itself; the Confederacy that were for slavery and the Union that were opposed to slavery.  In my opinion, this division was about money, not slavery per say.  Just like people of European descent migrated from their respective countries to America, people of African descent were forced from their respective countries to become slaves and less than a man or woman.  Being oppressed by the lack of education and refused rights under the United States Constitution, tribes were separated and looked upon as “property” not humans.  As society grew in the years that led to this event, it was evident that people of African descent were not supposed to have anything, and God forbid they had more than those of European descent. The society was turning into white was right and black is bad.  After all, the term white is to mean innocent or not intended to cause any harm.  The term black is to mean wicked or characterized by hostility.  Anyone would believe this because the pictures of Jesus in the church are of a European Jesus.  When you have a people that are suppressed, they may not know any different.  In Revelations 1:13-16, it speaks of Jesus as having feet of bronze and hair like white wool.  If we look at the definition of bronze we find out that bronze is a metallic brown color.  In history, we know people of African descent were called colored because their skin completion is not that of Europeans.  Wooly hair is often associated with Negroid hair.  As we know from the original Middle Easterners, they are of brown skin and their hair can be wooly or tight-curled.  In any event, when someone put a picture of what they think represents good and you have a race of people that are uneducated, it is easy to believe what you may not know or understand.  For these reasons I usually don’t use black or white in describing any one person or people.  I met “white” people in my life who are not innocent.  I met “white” people who really don’t intend on causing harm.  I met “black” people in my life who are not wicked.  I met “black” people in my life who are wicked.  I am sure we all had met “whites and blacks” who may and may not fit the definition.  Therefore, I use European and African descent to describe a people.  The 1921 Tulsa, Oklahoma bombing is not in any history book as part of the United States of America History.  It seems like this part of history has been… silenced.

There are other countries that have people of African descent living among them.  When they are speaking of themselves, they would always say “I am French.”  “I am from the United Kingdom.”  You would not hear them say I am Italian English.  You would not hear them say I am black living in France.  In America, we have citizens that would say “I am Italian.”  “I am Irish.”  America, the melting pot of the entire earth, yet we are the most judgmental and prejudice.  If you don’t believe me, just look around.  Look at the injustice and countless killings by police on the citizens they are sworn to protect.  Look at the many racially motivated groups and the killings by those groups.  Look at the recruitment by racially motivated groups to overpower another racial group.  America, the terrorist country within itself and if we don’t stop as a nation to recognize each other as a human being, we will continue to stereotype others and tear ourselves apart.

Something To Think About…

Something to think about when it comes to presidents.  North Korea is a bully.  President Trump is a bully.  I would not be surprised if both bullies go at it head to head and bring upon us… World War III.  Why does this concerns me, or should concern me?  It is because the weapons used in today’s world are more advanced and deadlier than in yesterday’s world (back in the day).

Don’t Be Upset…

We heard lots of stories from others regarding race this, and race that.  We heard lots of people saying that darker skinned people are using the “race” card when things happen.  We heard how others rally behind police officers when they are shot or killed, yet nothing is mentioned about the lives lost by police.  I am not against the police that honestly serve the communities and connect with people in communities.  I am not against the police that have to honestly defend their life in a situation that is life and death.  What I am against are the innocent killings and the lies other people give to make the police believe they have to destroy a family’s life.

I saw a YouTube video of a SWAT officer that shot and killed  a seven year old girl with a bullet directly into and through her head.  On this YouTube video, the SWAT officer did not answer why he did it or what was his intentions as he broke down the door in this home… a home raided to where only a grandmother and her seven year old granddaughter was occupying.  The gentleman that was doing this video provided information that was released by the American Psychological Association in regards to how police see dark skinned people.  After some research, I had found an article that tells how police view dark skinned people and how lighter skinned women view dark skinned people.  This came out in March of 2014 and here we sit in 2016 with the same issues going on.  I believe you should read the article for yourselves.  It is a good source of information.  Please share.

Isn’t This Interesting…

I know what I am about to write may cause issues.  I am well aware of the conflicts that it may stir up, but I was thinking… as dangerous as it may be.

I find it very interesting how Donald Trump and other Republican officials wanted President Obama to show his birth certificate million upon million times over.  Donald Trump even criticized Ted Cruz for not being American (in so many words) because Ted Cruz was born in Canada.  Isn’t it interesting how no one in the Republican party, nor Donald Trump, ask Ted Cruz to produce his birth certificate over and over again?

People dare to say President Obama is not Christian, yet they cannot supply proof, other than the use of his name.  There are people with native middle eastern names who are Christian.  Isn’t it funny how people can say Barack Obama is our first black president.  How can this be?  He is of mixed race.  His mother is German so when a person say he is our first black president, they are looking upon half of him not the fullness of him.

Now, back to Donald Trump.  Isn’t it funny how he can degrade others from foreign lands when he is married to someone of a different country?  His first wife, Ivana Zelníckováw) as born in Zlin, Czech Republic.  Did anyone question him as to why he is so anti foreign when his first wife was not born in America?  Let’s move on to his second wife.  Marla Maples is American, born in Georgia.  Now, his third wife.  Melania Knavs is half Slovenian and half American.  She was born in Sevinca.  So all this time of him talking about boarders and immigrant control, in so many words, Ivana and Melania are from different countries.  Most people would say he is talking about Mexico, but an immigrant is an immigrant no matter how you try to explain the difference.

All in all, I am just expressing that before someone say something about not allowing foreigners in the United States, he should recognized he married two women from different countries.  Any country can be a “terror” country.  It does not have to be just from the middle east.  After all, we didn’t we have Americans go to other countries and claim radicalism once they gotten back in America?

Really? Not again!!!

There are a lot of people always say America is the best country ever. People say there’s no racism. People say America is just for everyone. No one wants to talk about racism or how it affects us as “Americans.” No one understands what it is like to be of a darker pigmentation in America. The constitution states ALL men, not some men, but ALL men are created “equal.”  Is that true in the eyes of the law? Even the Governor of Minnesota said this was race motivated. My take… this police officer is not going to do any time for this act.

I read were a police officer in New York was convicted by his peers (the jury), but the judge made the sentence where the police officer did not serve any jail time. He only receive house arrest and probation. The person that officer had killed cannot tell his side of the story. That person cannot defend himself in a court of law. Police officers have bullet-proof vests and yet they are afraid of their life of someone who does not have a weapon. Even so, the military don’t wear bullet-proof vest and we are deployed in some of the most dangerous areas known to man. I would love to see a police officer deployed in a “hot zone” where he or she cannot wear a bullet-proof vest. I bet they will shot everyone in sight.

Incidents like this were known in the southern states, and now they are being done by police officers in the northern states. Videos that show the truth, yet not admissible in court, or the police get the videos first before it can be released. If the police officer did nothing wrong, then why are they so much in a rush to obtain the video before it stream live?

Sooner or later, America will pay for their sins and those that had gotten away with so much will have to be judged by God Himself, one day. I would love to be a fly on the wall because no matter what excuse a person gives of taking a life that is not just, would it be the correct answer?

Thoughts to Process

You know being an adult; I have noticed a lot of things.  Some of these things are the fact that people don’t really know how to drive and people don’t know how to obey laws.  I was raised to do what is right, even when no one is looking.  I will say that I often wonder why should I do what is right when everyone else get rewarded for not doing what is right?  Allow me to present some examples…

Directional signals. In order to receive our driver’s license we have to pass the rules of the road.  One item on this test is the ability to use directional signals, and back in the 80’s, one would have to use not only directional signals, but have to be able to use hand signals as well.  Many drivers cut in front of me and others without using their directional signals.  Is it me, or as anyone else find it very interesting when a police car is following them, or in the area, people will remember the rules of the road and use their directional signal?  However, as soon as those police officers go their own way, people forget the rules of the road and don’t use their directional signal.  In fact, Those that don’t use their signals are very quick to flick a person off, talk about that person, or have road rage when other drivers do the same thing they do… cutting in front of others and not using their directional signal.

Texting and Talking on the Phone without hands free. Texting while driving is illegal, yet people do it every day.  People put their phone on speaker, yet it is still illegal because they don’t have hands free.  I know of a woman that drives with her phone to her ear and the excuse she gave “they cannot see at night if you are on the phone or not, so what is the big deal?”  Say that to a family that lost their loved ones due to the same situation or due to someone texting.  Again, people know it is illegal and when the police are around, they don’t dare touch their phone.

Right of Way. I have seen people get into fender benders because of right of way issues.  When the light is green and a person is turning on the side of their own traffic, they have the right of way, unless the like turns yellow.  If the light is green and the car is turning across the traffic, they must wait for cars to come the opposite way in order to complete the turn.  So many times the car turning hits the car that is turning the same way, when the one turning across traffic does not have the right of way.

Out of all of this, do you want to know what I really take in from these experiences?  People say they are Christians, yet are they living or exhibiting Christian values?  I am not judging, just pointing out if a person say one thing, they should exhibit that one thing, yes?  Everyone drinks, and I am no exception, but I don’t go over my limit and get behind the wheel.  Even Jesus says everything in moderation.  Having road rage and not obeying the rules of the road when the police is not around; is that being a Christian?  Hating someone due to their race or national origin, is that being a Christian?  My mother has this saying, and I often think of it, which is why I am cursed with doing what is right, even when no one is looking or noticing.  She would say “how can I be a Christian when I cannot follow laws of the land, which most are based on God’s law.”  So how can we claim Christianity when we don’t exhibit what is Christian?
