Days of Old…

I have heard of a lot of injustice.  It is sickening to believe I live in a country where we are divided by our skin complexion.  It bothers me that America is the most racial country in all of the free world.  I cannot phantom the thought as to why others want to come to this country.  Of course, if you are lighter skinned, you have a better chance than those who are darker.  America only sees black and white, not shades of grey.  In other words, a person can be a dark-skinned Puerto Rican and be called black instead of being called Latin.  What is my point or purpose of this writing?  Boycott.

I believe we should boycott businesses that contribute to the injustice of others.  I remember reading where two black guys were arrested in Pennsylvania because they were waiting for a friend inside Starbucks.  One of the employees called the police.  When the police came, they “claimed” to tell the two guys to move along.  Witnesses at this establishment did say to the police that they were not doing anything wrong.  Refusing to believe the public, they arrested the two men.  The police commissioner, who is black, stands by his police officers and said the officers, told the black men to move along.  I have two issues with that statement.

  1. The police are to wear lapel cams or body cams. Did the cams pick up with the police officers said?
  2. If the two men did leave the establishment, would they have been fired upon, stating they stole something or resisted arrest?

If we boycott such places, as they did in Selma and the bus boycott, then maybe the businesses would get tired of losing money.  Right now, the businesses don’t care.  They get their money from an array of customers, black people included.  The more people that boycott in favor of justice, the more money these places would lose.  I know I am going to stop going to Starbucks.  Even though I am not in that city, they are all connected as “Starbucks.”

Do Police Officers Shoot Their Own?

We all have heard a lot of news regarding police shootings and killing of innocent victims.  These victims are of different races and nationalities.  These victims may have physical and mental disabilities.  We all have heard of the police driving one killer, Dylan Roof, to Burger King after killing members of an AME Church while they were in prayer.  We all have heard about the violent death of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman.  We have heard about the countless evidence that was given and sworn testimony by witnesses while the police were set free of all allegations.

I often wondered what would happen if one of the Jury members should ever experience a death of unarmed family members by a police officer.  On January 2, 1970, around 20:37 hours, a man name Jacob Grant was fired upon with about nine rounds of the hot lead entering his flesh by police.  According to ABC News, Albuquerque Police Department released a video regarding this shooting and posted it on their Social Media on April 1, 2016.  This incident happened in 1970 and now this information has been released and posted on Social Media over 47 years later.  What may surprise you is the person who was shot nine times was detective Jacob Grant, and he was working undercover.  According to the report, Lieutenant Greg Brachle approached a black car with tinted windows and, when one of the rear doors opened, he opens fired.  Greg Brachle yelled commands but were shooting while yelling the commands as other officers provided back-up.  After obtaining the information, I realized this shooting occurred in 2015, not 1970; but the lapel cam has a date stamp of 1970.  If this error occurred by police lapel cam(s), how can we trust their integrity?  Greg Blachle yelled, “Oh shit that was Jacob!  Holy shit it’s Jacob!  Fuck me!”  The report goes on to say that Greg Blachle thought he was a bad guy and not Jacob.  Does this mean that the shooting would be justifiable because Greg assumed he was a bad guy?  I don’t understand why a police officer would unleash hot lead into a person’s flesh while yelling commands at the same time.  Perhaps he thought he could get away until he realized it was Jacob.  After all making the atmosphere hectic and tense, Greg asked if Jacob was okay.  If you don’t have on body armor and had the hot lead entering your body nine times, would you be okay?

Greg Blachle did not go to the sting meetings regarding the drug bust but assisted anyway.  Blachle went on the belief the suspects were of African descent, which means when he yelled gun and fired, he did not know who he was firing upon at that split second.  This is not his first rodeo regarding shootings.  Back in 1988, Blachle shot a man as he was leaving the home with his hands up.  The victim survived his wounds and filed a lawsuit against in 2000.  Since 2010, the city shelled out around $40 million dollars in settlement monies.  You would think they would have learned by now as they spend the taxpayers’ money in a wasteful fashion.  The city settled Grant’s case out of court for $6.5 million dollars.  The city also agreed to cover his medical bills for the rest of his life.  Grant received over a dozen surgeries.  Jacob Grant turned 38 and is medically retired.  Greg Blachle retired after he learned the fate of his employment was in jeopardy under termination.  I’m sorry, but termination?  What about charges being filed against him?  It shows that police officers can cause a lot of misfortune and taxpayers money for instances they could have and should have avoided.  To learn the suspects were of African descent encouraged Greg Blachle to attend the bust in hopes to kill, as he said previously, “the bad guys.”

America: The Greatest Country on Earth?

When you think of the United States of America, what do you think of?  Do you think of the land of the free?  Do you think of the land of opportunity?  Do you think of the land with a beacon to shine as an example for other nations?  Do you think of good healthcare or gainful employment opportunities?  Do you think America is a country of tolerance?  Do you think of freedom?  Do you think of honesty and truth?

Allow me to tell you a very short story.  I have a friend, and I will call her Stephanie to protect her real identity.  She was offered a job interview for a very prestigious company through Manpower, a temporary service.  This was a direct hire assignment.  Stephanie passed the interview questionnaire for Manpower.  Manpower set up the interview with the direct hiring company.  She completed that interview.  This company was due to hire within one week of the interview process.  Manpower told Stephanie they will call her regarding the outcome, regardless if she received the position or not.  Forty-eight hours went past and no phone call from Manpower.  She decided to call Manpower on the third day and they said they will let her know the outcome.  Twenty-four hours later, Manpower did not call her.  The next day, Stephanie called Manpower and left a voicemail message.  According to the hiring company, they were to let Manpower know one way or another within forty-eight hours of the interview.  Here it is seventy-two hours later and Manpower still had not called her back regarding the outcome.  I told Stephanie to cheer up and it may not be for you to have it.  Besides, if Manpower did not have the decency of keeping their word regarding a phone call, why would you want to work for them anyway?  The majority of Americans refuse to return a call or a text message because they are afraid of confrontation, or they are afraid of hurting the other person.  I thought Americans were supposed to be honest and fair?

I remember a situation in northern Illinois where an unarmed man was shot in the back three times by police officers in a church in front of children.  Can you imagine what went thought those kids mind?  Regardless if the suspect was black or white, it should not have been done.  There are other documented cases of people getting away with murder for killing unarmed citizens, as well as the police getting away with murder for killing unarmed citizens.  These are citizens of the United States of America and they are treated like their lives mean nothing.  People who have special needs are killed by police because they cannot comply with their instructions as fast as the police want them to comply.  It is a known fact by a study conducted on or around November 27, 2017, twenty-one percent of adults read below a fifth grade level and nineteen percent of high school graduates cannot read at all.  Thirty-two million people in the United States cannot read at all and the police expect EVERYONE to follow their instructions?  I thought America was a land of tolerance?

Many people talk about pulling the race card.  Unless you lived or walked in the shoes of those less fortunate for employment, credit, or other things that are guaranteed by those of European descent, you cannot say someone is pulling a race card.  When Obama, a man of mixed race, was running for president, lots of people of European descent said “I want my country back.”  Really?  I thought America gives opportunities to all citizens?  After all, look at Arnold Schwarzenegger.  He is an Austrian-born citizen who gain American citizenship and became the Governor of California.  It is known that his father was a member of Hitler’s army.  If America can forgive the Nazis and elect a person of Austrian descent without saying they want their country back, why was it so hard to understand an American citizen of mixed race to be in office?

A lot of people want to say we came a long way.  In some areas, we did and in other areas we have not.  Sure, we have Wi-Fi, cellular phones, and many other useful gadgets, but when it comes to race, we can never get over that hump.  There are news anchors that have gotten fired for racial comments.  There are athletes who have said racial comments.  There are owners of professional baseball and basketball teams that had said racial comments.  People profile other people as black thugs.  Wendy Bell, a Pittsburgh newscaster, said “You needn’t be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts.  They are young black men, likely teens or in their early 20s.  They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs.  These boys have been in the system before.  They’ve grown up there.  They know police.  They’ve been arrested.”  My main question to her would be what about the shootings in Columbine, the killings of church members by Dylann Roof, the Las Vegas massacre by Stephen Paddock; and the many hearts they have broken?  What about Dylann Roof who was taken alive and received food from Burger King after his church shootings?  Yet, the police had the nerve to make Dylann wear a bullet-proof vest.

It is very sad that citizens of the United States cannot get along with each other, yet we are considered the greatest country on earth?  I think my above paragraphs prove my disagreement.

Don’t Be Upset…

We heard lots of stories from others regarding race this, and race that.  We heard lots of people saying that darker skinned people are using the “race” card when things happen.  We heard how others rally behind police officers when they are shot or killed, yet nothing is mentioned about the lives lost by police.  I am not against the police that honestly serve the communities and connect with people in communities.  I am not against the police that have to honestly defend their life in a situation that is life and death.  What I am against are the innocent killings and the lies other people give to make the police believe they have to destroy a family’s life.

I saw a YouTube video of a SWAT officer that shot and killed  a seven year old girl with a bullet directly into and through her head.  On this YouTube video, the SWAT officer did not answer why he did it or what was his intentions as he broke down the door in this home… a home raided to where only a grandmother and her seven year old granddaughter was occupying.  The gentleman that was doing this video provided information that was released by the American Psychological Association in regards to how police see dark skinned people.  After some research, I had found an article that tells how police view dark skinned people and how lighter skinned women view dark skinned people.  This came out in March of 2014 and here we sit in 2016 with the same issues going on.  I believe you should read the article for yourselves.  It is a good source of information.  Please share.

Really? Not again!!!

There are a lot of people always say America is the best country ever. People say there’s no racism. People say America is just for everyone. No one wants to talk about racism or how it affects us as “Americans.” No one understands what it is like to be of a darker pigmentation in America. The constitution states ALL men, not some men, but ALL men are created “equal.”  Is that true in the eyes of the law? Even the Governor of Minnesota said this was race motivated. My take… this police officer is not going to do any time for this act.

I read were a police officer in New York was convicted by his peers (the jury), but the judge made the sentence where the police officer did not serve any jail time. He only receive house arrest and probation. The person that officer had killed cannot tell his side of the story. That person cannot defend himself in a court of law. Police officers have bullet-proof vests and yet they are afraid of their life of someone who does not have a weapon. Even so, the military don’t wear bullet-proof vest and we are deployed in some of the most dangerous areas known to man. I would love to see a police officer deployed in a “hot zone” where he or she cannot wear a bullet-proof vest. I bet they will shot everyone in sight.

Incidents like this were known in the southern states, and now they are being done by police officers in the northern states. Videos that show the truth, yet not admissible in court, or the police get the videos first before it can be released. If the police officer did nothing wrong, then why are they so much in a rush to obtain the video before it stream live?

Sooner or later, America will pay for their sins and those that had gotten away with so much will have to be judged by God Himself, one day. I would love to be a fly on the wall because no matter what excuse a person gives of taking a life that is not just, would it be the correct answer?

Thoughts to Process

You know being an adult; I have noticed a lot of things.  Some of these things are the fact that people don’t really know how to drive and people don’t know how to obey laws.  I was raised to do what is right, even when no one is looking.  I will say that I often wonder why should I do what is right when everyone else get rewarded for not doing what is right?  Allow me to present some examples…

Directional signals. In order to receive our driver’s license we have to pass the rules of the road.  One item on this test is the ability to use directional signals, and back in the 80’s, one would have to use not only directional signals, but have to be able to use hand signals as well.  Many drivers cut in front of me and others without using their directional signals.  Is it me, or as anyone else find it very interesting when a police car is following them, or in the area, people will remember the rules of the road and use their directional signal?  However, as soon as those police officers go their own way, people forget the rules of the road and don’t use their directional signal.  In fact, Those that don’t use their signals are very quick to flick a person off, talk about that person, or have road rage when other drivers do the same thing they do… cutting in front of others and not using their directional signal.

Texting and Talking on the Phone without hands free. Texting while driving is illegal, yet people do it every day.  People put their phone on speaker, yet it is still illegal because they don’t have hands free.  I know of a woman that drives with her phone to her ear and the excuse she gave “they cannot see at night if you are on the phone or not, so what is the big deal?”  Say that to a family that lost their loved ones due to the same situation or due to someone texting.  Again, people know it is illegal and when the police are around, they don’t dare touch their phone.

Right of Way. I have seen people get into fender benders because of right of way issues.  When the light is green and a person is turning on the side of their own traffic, they have the right of way, unless the like turns yellow.  If the light is green and the car is turning across the traffic, they must wait for cars to come the opposite way in order to complete the turn.  So many times the car turning hits the car that is turning the same way, when the one turning across traffic does not have the right of way.

Out of all of this, do you want to know what I really take in from these experiences?  People say they are Christians, yet are they living or exhibiting Christian values?  I am not judging, just pointing out if a person say one thing, they should exhibit that one thing, yes?  Everyone drinks, and I am no exception, but I don’t go over my limit and get behind the wheel.  Even Jesus says everything in moderation.  Having road rage and not obeying the rules of the road when the police is not around; is that being a Christian?  Hating someone due to their race or national origin, is that being a Christian?  My mother has this saying, and I often think of it, which is why I am cursed with doing what is right, even when no one is looking or noticing.  She would say “how can I be a Christian when I cannot follow laws of the land, which most are based on God’s law.”  So how can we claim Christianity when we don’t exhibit what is Christian?

The Struggle Continues…

August 29, 2015

Watching Inside edition this evening after the Chicago Bears game, I was deeply moved about two things.

1. Napa Valley Wine Train Tours kicked off 11 women of African descent due to, what they call, laughing too much. According to information provided, the person who worked on the train escorted 11 women of African descent off the train at a stop where police were called and waiting for them. Other non African descent customers said it was not fair because there were others that laughed and acted the same way, if not worse, yet were not approached. Why does this bothers me? Because the company issued an apology and will make their employees go through diversity training. Can we conclude if this was done by a man or woman of African descent against European women, this person would be fired and not recommended for diversity training. People say we are created equal, but we are not treated equally. Nothing conflicts me more than those who say they are Christians who continuously judge others when the chosen people were not Europeans, but Israelis. No wonder why I stopped going to church.

2. Police officers caught on camera trying to make drivers buy tickets to a police function or he will take their vehicle for not being registered. Again, this is evident on a cell phone video, yet they only get desk duty or some other duty while the incidents are investigated through Internal Affairs. Really? What is there to investigate when the proof it right on camera or video?

We live in a world where we call bad good and good bad. We life in a world where people judge those of African descent, or even judging those that are of mixed race and receive b.s. apologies because they got busted or found out during such things. It is a shame where people of African descent has to prove themselves a worthy employee or a worthy friend almost five times more than those of European descent.

I believe not all police officers are bad or do negative things. Just like people, a few officers give the good officers a bad name, just like a few people of African descent give us good ones a bad name; and just like a few European descent people would give the good ones a bad name.

America the Tyrant!

It appears police officers get a medal (get set free) for killing unarmed men and woman in America.  Police officers are granted a bullet-proof vest, something used to protect them, yet they are fast to shot unarmed people, in their chest or back; places where the police officers themselves has protection.

Lives are forever changed because of a police officer’s decision to use a weapon of “mass destruction!”  Explain how can a police officer be afraid of their life when the person is either running away from them, or unarmed and instead of grabbing their taser, they see fit to grab their weapon.  Their weapon that is used to pierce through flesh.  Their weapon that is used to tear up nerve endings and send messages of pain to the brain constantly until that pain has subsided in some way and in these cases… death.  Their weapon that is used to tear apart organs such as kidneys, lungs, and much more.  Their weapons that is used to pierce and tear through bone(s).  Their weapons that is used to burst a person’s heart.

It is very troublesome to hear a judge set a person free that kills another.  It is very troublesome to hear a jury refuse to indict a police officer that literally kills another by bursting their heart in little pieces due to a bullet from their police issued weapon.  I would love to see what would happen if a judge’s unarmed child was killed by a police officer.  Would that officer be set free?  I would love to see what would happen if a jury member who is serving on a jury trial just received word their child, who is unarmed, was killed by a police officer.  Would that police officer be set free?

Everyone is so quick to pull up a person’s criminal record, or say they are a bad person and their past caught up to them.  It is troublesome to hear what others think what a black person’s life is worth.  There are many whites that had served jail time for a variety of different crimes and there are white people that are on the sexual offender’s list.  I am not trying to make this out to be a black and white thing, but take a moment to look back at your own life for a second.  You see a black guy and a white guy, who will you judge first?  When we were kids, we did not know about black and white.  Movies, peers, and family mold us to believe how we believe today about race.

America does not want to talk about race and for this, we will never grow as a people.  I am not just black.  I am not just white.  I am of mixed race (black and white).  So when America see me as a black man, and police officers see me as a black man, we will never move forward.  I am of mixed race and both races makes up Boston Brian, not just the black and not just the white.  I used to have a lot of respect for police officers.  Just as society say… “One bad apple can spoil the bunch.”  How are we to view police officers then?  Are we to view them as one bad police officer means all officers are bad?  After all, this is what society say about people right?

People jump’s on society’s band wagon when it is convenient for them.  People say society is right for judging a person by race.  People say society is right for saying police officers cannot do any wrong.  People say society is right for saying one bad apple spoils the bunch, unless it is their family member that society may be talking about.

So many people want to live in America, but why?  We are not America, the beautiful.  We are America, the Tyrant.  The cruel and oppressive ruler as police officers get away by being their own judge and executor of the law.  The cruel and oppressive ruler of shooting first and never ask questions.  The cruel and oppressive ruler in turning their head the other way when they know the police actions are unjust and cannot be truthfully justified.  When people can say they want their country back and this is not right when President Obama was elected into office and then re-elected into office, it really show the true color of most Americans.

In closing I will say this.  America better wake up.  So many police officers have open season on black people and people with disabilities.  So many people are quick to say the police are justified in their killings, even though the person is unarmed.  Before you judge another black person in this county, remember and recognized a few things.  Us Americans uses a lot of things that were made by those that are black.  Just to name a few, for there are a lot more than few, as we appreciate the traffic light from causing accidents and long traffic build-ups, compared to stop signs, you can thank Garrett Morgan.  He also invented the first gas mask used in World War One and by fire fighters.  Whenever you turn on a light, you are using one of the first inventions by Lewis Latimer.  When we all get to that age where we may need cataract(s) removed, the doctors will use a tool made by Dr. Patricia Bath to help in that process.  When you complain about that 90 degree heat and need some comfort via air conditioner, think of Fredrick M. Jones.  Whenever you need to dry your clothes, rather commercially or at home, you can thank G.T. Sampson for the invention of the clothes dryer.  For those rock stars and people that enjoy rock music, Robert F. Flamming Jr invented the guitar.  Your loved one is in the hospital and need open heart surgery.  Now, procedures are in place to improve the surgery all the time, but it could not had been done if it wasn’t for Surgeon Daniel Hale Williams, who performed the first successful open heart surgery in 1893.  Had you sent a text message today?  Had you called someone on your cellular phone, or 911 from your cellular phone?  Henry T. Sampson invented the first Cellular Phone.  There are many more, but why is this important?  Anyone can create and invent things to make life better of course, but would these things really had been created by the blacks listed if they were shot and killed by a police officer or a judgmental person as the bullet races through their bodies; destroying everything in its path?

Police Officer gets Beat Up

I have seen videos regarding a couple of police officers who gotten beat up in Philadelphia.  I will not post the link for the fear of my post either getting reported or that person may contact and have the video deleted, but trust me when I say I have seen videos of it being done.

Now, I have mixed emotions about this, as well as other viewers of the videos.  I do understand a police officer is a human being, however, does that police officer or other police officers think about that before they shoot an unarmed person, or kill someone with a handicap?  I understand a police officer and other officers must protect themselves, hence the bullet-proof vest, however, do they think about just injuring a person that is unarmed instead of shooting in the chest? It appears the police officers are the hunters and citizens are the deers… innocent deers that are gunned down for the sake of just shooting as in relations of unarmed individuals that are gunned down for the sake of getting away with killing.

Juries refuse to indict, but the ONE thing I have is this… what if one of their family members were killed by a police officer?  What if their son or daughter was unarmed and was gunned down?  When an officer is not indicted, and they return to duty the very next day, something is wrong with our way of thinking.  I do hate to say I hope or wish someone from the jury will experience this in their family, but maybe that could be what is needed for indictments.

A Rant – CF Boston Brian Style

This is going to be a piggy back on my comment I made on Xena’s post regarding the funeral of Michal Brown…

You know.. seeing all of this senseless killing by those that we call to protect ALL citizens, not just WHITE or BLACK, but ALL make me feel very embarrassed to have been in the military.

The military – something that holds a beacon of freedom and unity, but it’s not so.  We actually live in a fa-sad.  We import a lot of things from countries we don’t know anything about, such as the water may be malaria-filled, or what type of pesticides used on things we eat.  Let’s not forget, things may not affect them, but will affect us.  I remember when I was stationed in Korea and they told us (military) not to drink their water, yet the Koreans drink it.  Just because a person jump off a building and live, does not mean everyone should do the same.

Our national anthem talks about land of the free and God Bless America, yet are we deserving to be free or blessed?  We have had the Civil War, and we are still living the Civil War.  How?  We are not using northern states versus southern states, yet it is more of white versus black, versus bi-racial.  America, a country that want to define me as being black instead of interracial.  America, a country that want to define President Obama as being black instead of being interracial (his mother is German).

I hate, and I mean HATE conceal carry.  According to the Constitution, we all have the right to bear arms, but as it was used by in the days it was created, it was to protect the HOME, not to venture outside the home and shot others.  Yes, we have gang violence, and we have robberies.  We also know the area(s) of these said gang violence and other malicious crimes.  As my mother had always told me, if you don’t go in the areas that are bad, why would you need a gun?  It seems like people are getting shot for no reason, especially in the back, where there is NOT a threat.  It all comes to JUDGMENT!

Matthew 12:36,37 – “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  For by they words thous shalt be justified, and by they words thou shalt be condemned.”  Jesus Christ said this, not CF Boston Brian.

Romans 14:10 – But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set a nought (badness) thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.  Who?  ALL of us, and our bodies holds our spirits and as others see us, we are black, white, Asian, etc… but our spirits is NOT a race.  When we need blood, it is not characterized as black o+ or white ab Negative.  It is what it is.. blood.

Why do we all do what we do?  I believe it is race driven.  Why?  Would you allow your daughter or son date and bring home a person that is of a different race AND not wonder if they are going to steel something?  We are taught as kids, and by music, about race and judgments that are passed down from our families of how people are of that race.  When America can talk about race and talk about it daily, maybe we can all see each other through our own eyes.

I hold true to two quotes that I love to use very much…
– “And you wonder why we don’t like you” – Chronicles of Narnia
– “Are we Americans when the mood suits you?” – Tuskegee Airmen
