Just A Question…

Life… a precious gift.  Life… something that is NOT free.  Life… a double-standard.  Life… is taught by our parents and media, as well as social media.  There are a lot of people who go to church and claim to be a Christian.  There are a lot of people who claimed to be Godly.  There are a lot of people who claim to be of good nature.

You are walking in the dark and you feel safe because you live in a community that you feel very safe in.  You hear screams of “help!”  You hear water splashing around and you run to the screams.  You get closer and find out it is a black person that is drowning.  What do you do?  Do you hold out your hand to rescue said black person, or keep moving just because that person is black?  The same goes for a white person is drowning and you are black.  Do you assist or move on?

Someone told me a LONG time ago to be careful of what you say.  A person can claim to be Godly, yet how do they act or behave?  Do your actions prove what your mouth says.

Let’s Get It Going…

Greetings all my followers and WordPress individuals alike.  Today is something different.  This will require participation from EVERYONE.

You decide what I should blog on next.  It can be on any topic.  If someone agrees with the topic you already put down, that person can say the same topic because it will be under another username.  The deadline for putting your bid in is 23:59 (11:59 pm) on December 10, 2017.  I will then tally up the most requested and do a continuation to see which bid will be most popular.  After this time, I will focus on that specific bid and do a posting on it.

A Double Standard?

Today was a day of rest and solace as I had the day off.  Unfortunately, a police officer died in the line of duty.  It is not known if the officer died of his injuries sustained in gunfire or in a high speed car crash after the shooting.  I do feel for the victim’s family as I feel for all others that fall victims to senseless criminal activity.

As I continue throughout the day, I see a gentleman holding a sign that reads “officers lives matter.”  This area is known for subtle prejudices.  I am not talking about a straight in your face being called out of your name or getting attacked verbally for your skin color.  This area is known for supporting in-town people and excluding those that are not born in the area.  This area is known for believing every outsider is stupid and believes those who are white and poor are better than those who are black and educated.  Like most other areas being covered by the media, there are shootings of innocent or unarmed citizens by police officers.  This brings me to something my mother always told me… “You reap what you sow.” This is what the Bible says, not what she says.  Again, I do feel bad for those whose lives are forever changed by a life-changing event.

When I fixed my eyes on the man with the officer lives matter sign, I was puzzled.  Why?  When this community voiced their opinions about black lives matter, non-African descent people were saying that’s crazy and called those supporting black lives matter racist.  They believed the police officers are doing their jobs by shooting and murdering unarmed people.  They look upon the police as the judge.  It is very hard to understand how the police get away with murder.  It is hard to understand how the police get away with planting contraband and other things.

We have Trump calling the person who murdered twenty-six people mentally ill.  This is no surprise because that’s the same others say about those who raided schools and other establishments with bullet holes; leaving behind the wounded and the deceased.  Even his former girlfriend would say he, Devin Kelley, is sick in the head.  Think about this for a moment. Don’t most people call others sick in the head?  Did they murder others?  I believe the police are sick in the head for planting evidence and murdering unarmed people, yet they are still patrolling the streets.

Let’s try an experiment.  After reading this next paragraph, I would like for you to close your eyes.  Imagine someone coming into a building with an automatic weapon and shooting up the place.  What would be the first thing that would come to your mind?  Is it the safety of ALL citizens; both European and African descent?  Is it the race of the person committing this terrible act?  Do you think it is a police officer?  Do you think it is a citizen who claims to be the perfect model citizen?

The bottom line is all lives matter.  It does not matter if the person is African or European descent or a police officer.  If we don’t get it together as a country we will all be doomed, which is something I am really afraid of.  People losing their jobs overseas due to the power of the all mighty dollar, people are required to have more education for a basic job, the cost of living is going up yet the rate of pay is steadily going down, we have kids in America with no food yet I see commercials of save the kids in other countries, we have animals that are in dire need of the basic necessities of life, and we have people that refuse to date others due to race or color; but we call ourselves Christians.  Really?

Do you think it is time us, as a country, reap what we sow?  Think about it…

Honesty versus Flirty

I understand and know men and women are different on most levels.  Why is it hard for a woman to be honest, yet it is not hard for most men to be honest?

 

A perfect example of this would be when a woman looks at a man and smile.  The two engage in conversation and the woman begins to touch him or hold his hand in little ways.  When the man makes a move to know more or ask her for an actual date, she would reject him.  She may say she just wanted to be “friendly.”  She may say she has a man, but thought you needed a friend to talk to.  Are you serious?  You touch me, smile at me, let me buy you drinks, and talk about our most personal experiences in life and you are just flirty?  So, why can’t that woman be honest to that man upfront?  Why lead him on? What would a woman think if a man does that to her?

 

Most men who have these types of experiences would push women away from them because they are afraid of the same repeating itself.  Most men would not return the smile and would have distance between him and the woman in order not to be touched by the woman.  Other men would not even look at women for the fear of being played or having a woman be flirty to them.

 

As I look back on my life and experiences, I can see why good guys finish last.  I can see why good guys don’t come across the finish line at all.  I can see why some men decide to be by themselves.  There are some men who can take hints and clues, but most of us don’t take hints or clues.

 

Am I upset or angry towards women?  No.  We are who we are.  I just wonder why is it hard for a woman to be something they EXPECT out of a man… honesty.  If a man is not honest a woman will feel used and think the guy is just into games.  If that is the case, what is it called when a woman does it?

Who Finish Last?

The one thing I hear a lot of is “I’m sorry.”  What are you sorry about?  Why are you sorry?  Are you sorry for getting caught?

 

This is coming from episode after episode of cheaters.  Most episodes about women usually have the same outcome.  That outcome is the women who usually say “I’m sorry, but I did not want to hurt you.”  So, they did not want to hurt the man’s feelings because he is a very nice guy.  It’s funny that the guy they cheat on their boyfriend with is a bad boy.  Why can’t they be honest and say the guy is just too nice and they need a man who is going to dog them out because that is what they are either used to or want?  Ultimately, that is what the women are saying.   Most women are attracted to the bad boy and have men who are too nice as an arm piece.  They are usually in tears and want to talk about things after getting caught as they are afraid of being left out in the street from the home shared by their soon to be ex-boyfriend, yet they had no desire to talk before being caught.  The women want to beg for forgiveness when they see two men fighting over them in the effort of finding the truth.  They have the nerve to have their identity withheld because of what?  They are not concerned with their identity while they are cheating.  It is like someone in the Klu Klux Klan wearing a cheat to conceal their identity because they are afraid of getting chastise if their face is truly revealed.  Although the police is the new Klu Klux Klan, but that is a different write.

 

I’m sorry, but I don’t fight another man over any woman.  If a woman cheats on me, I am not taking it up with him, but with the woman because she knows better.  I was raised to open doors for women.  I was raised with treating women with respect.  I was raised not to use the term “female” to describe a woman.  A woman is a woman just like a man is a man.

 

Don’t get me wrong, men cheat too and they usually have the excuse of “it’s not like that” or “what are you doing?”  This posting is not about the man cheating, but about the woman cheating.  In reference of who finish last the question remains.  Do nice guys finish last?  Do women refuse to date a nice guy as the last man on this earth?  Lots of younger women refuse to settle down with a nice guy.  They want that bad boy.  As they get older, they began to see the damage of their cheating as Karma comes back and bites them in the azz.  All of this is a vicious circle that gets worse from generation to generation.  In my experiences women have children at a very young age and they are forced to settle down a bit more due to the child.  Now, they want a good man because their situation has changed.  Is this what it takes to desire a good guy?

 

Some say nice guys finish first.  Some say nice guys finish last.  I say nice guys don’t finish at all; not even if he is the last man on this earth.  I cannot wrap my brain to think how bad boys get the most attractive woman or have a collection of fine looking women, and men who really deserve a woman is left in the sea as shark bait.  Most nice guys get the women that others don’t want.  These women are usually extremely overweight.  These women are usually not too educated.  These women are those who are really not your type, but you are forced to date them because you cannot find a woman who is your type and you are getting older.  These women have children and they cannot find the type of man they really want due to the change in their circumstance(s).  Some tell me I am too picky, but answer me this question.  Should I really lower my standards in order to date a woman who is very obese, not educated and cannot speak with proper English when the time calls for it, or have a village of children then realize other men are not attracted to them?  Like other men and women, I want to be in love with a woman who is going to love me for me and care for me, but I believe I should not sell myself short to get what I really don’t want.

What We Cannot Say…

At times, people have a way of putting words together that we cannot express ourselves.  I consider myself to be a good guy.  I never said I love you first to anyone.  They usually say it to me, even my family; but they know I love them by the special things I do to show it.

I have not many friends because I had been hurt a lot before.  Some had made fun of me because of my race and culture.  Others had attempt to bully me because of the things my parents had and I was given good things in my life by them.  Even some made fun of me because I would die for my dog, knowing they have a short life span on earth.  I see people take for granted of the little things in life.

Watching YouTube videos most times, I have learned things about myself that I would not have known before.  I have learned what it is like to be homeless with nothing.  I have learned what it is like to be ridiculed and toss around like a bag.  I have learned what it is like to be afraid.  I have learned what it is like to be loved.  I have seen through the eyes of a dog about pain, resentment, and hurt.  I have seen through the eyes of other animals that are hunted for game not as a source of nourishment.

I look out of my window in my home and stare at the green grass and listen to the birds sing.  I look at white butterflies that fly around the home.  I look at my vehicle sparkle as the sun bounces off it.  I look at the wind blowing the tops of the trees.  I look at the high flying hawks and wonder what it is like to be that free.

Afraid of being who I am, there is one thing no one can take away from me, well actually two things.  The first thing is my education and knowledge.  The second thing is how loved I am by family and God.

Are All Men Created Equal?

There had been issues that arise during the beginning of time in this new world we call America.  One major issue is the question of equality which haunts all people of African descent and it’s the same question that people of European descent choose to ignore; or put restrictions on.  Another issue in America is how loosely the word “nigger” is used by not just the people of African descent, but of all people and why.

 

Let’s look at the word “nigger.”  What does it really mean?  If you ask your relative, friend, or any other person all over the world, they would say it means a black person.  It is a racial slur to degrade black people.  We can say the Spaniards or the French came up with this word.  It is not true.  The Spaniards say “Negro” which is nowhere near the word “nigger.”  The French say “Negre” which is, again, nowhere near the word “nigger.”  So how do people in the English language come up with this word?  Is it the same as other people call people who light white and those who are dark black?  I bet people never look at the definition before making an application that talks about… please choose a race.  Merriam-Webster defines black as being people of African or dark pigmentation of the skin.  Could this mean those from the country of India are considered black since they have dark pigmentation?  Yet, as you keep reading Merriam-Webster’s definition of black, it states thoroughly sinister or evil, wicked, very sad, gloomy, etc.  Can you say that every black person you had come in contact with is wicked or evil as stated by Merriam-Webster?  So why is black used to describe ALL people of African descent who are of dark pigmentation?  The reason why I say of dark pigmentation is due to the fact there are those of light pigmentation who are African as well.  Merriam-Webster defines white as being people of European or light pigmentation of the skin.  Yet, as you keep reading Merriam-Webster’s definition of white, it states innocent, pure, not intended to cause harm, etc.  Can you say that every white person you had come in contact with is innocent or never meant any harm as stated by Merriam-Webster?  So why is white used to describe ALL people of European descent?  It still does not prove that “nigger” means black because it is a word made up word.   I don’t know how others get “nigger” out of negro or negre, unless they wanted to make up a word and call it black or do it out of their ignorance.  A lot of people use this word very loosely in their everyday conversations.  Why use a word when it plainly states it is used as a racial slur to degrade a group of people?  If a person is in a wheelchair, do you believe that person would want to be called handicapped rather than a cripple?  Hulk Hogan, a famous wrestler with friends of all races, was even caught using the word “nigger.”  When being interviewed about his daughter’s relationship with a guy of African descent, he said “I mean, I’d rather if she was going to fuck some nigger, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall nigger worth a hundred million dollars!  Like a basketball player!  I guess we’re all a little racist.  Fucking nigger.”  Would he be just fine if Brooke was to date a guy of European descent who lived in a trailer?  Later, Hulk Hogan, also known as Terry Bollea, apologized by saying that is not who he is.  People tend to say what is on their mind.  As the saying goes… give it time and people will expose their true colors.  Okay, I am paraphrasing that saying.  After exposure from the media and thinking about what was actually said, WWE removed him for the WWE Hall of Fame.  Terry said he is disappointed in who he is because of such language.  Is he, or is he ashamed that he got caught being himself in his first mind?  It is amazing how I looked up to him when I first started watching wrestling as he would often say to the audience to take your vitamins and say your prayers.  Now, I question who he were speaking to.

 

In the King James Version of the Holy Bible, there are two verses that state all men are created equal.  Genesis 1:27 state “So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”  Galatians 3:28 state “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”  These two versus, out of many more versus, plainly state all men are created equal.

 

Even former President Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address said all men are created equal.  The second paragraph in the Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”  Some people have an issue with the term “self-evident.”  Self-evident merely mean evident without proof or reasoning.  The Bible provides the information needed in which the Declaration of Independence is based upon in regards to all men are created equal.

 

There are some who want to argue that all men are not created equal.  I don’t want to go on a preaching rant, so I will try to keep this short.  I believe Dr. Kathryn Seifert misunderstood what is behind the actual meaning of “all men are created equal.”  As stated in Genesis, God created man in his own image.  This means all men are PERFECT in the image of God.  Our bodies, our brain, our organs, our systems, etc. are from God and created by God as if He was looking in the mirror at Himself.  As man began to sin and fall, their minds began to change.  I believe she is talking about after the fall of man regarding the changing of the mind.  After all, Jesus said the wages of sin is death.  In short, Jesus said He came to fulfill the law, not to abolish it.  The New Testament reiterates the issue of proving all men are created equal in Galatians 3:28.  As far as the President goes, he is the one that pardon a racist police sheriff before his sentencing.  To me, that displays a very clear message.  President Trump wants to say some are born beautiful and some are not.  Some are born smart and others are not.  This gives the reasoning for his statement back in 2009.  However, the Old Testament says we are created in God’s image and after the fall of man, the New Testament says we are still equal.  This would mean even after the fall of man, there are some not born smart and others are born smart.  There are some born beautiful and others not born beautiful.  The one thing that really bothers me that I must write about is a writer from Christianity Today who believes the Bible never said all men are created equal.  I think the writer is missing the point.  Earlier, I wrote we are all created in His image.  Things changed after the fall of man, BUT we are all still created in His image in body.

 

It’s really a shame that we are still fighting the Civil War today.  It is true the Civil War is over and we knew and understood who the enemy was.  In today’s world, the enemies are all around us without sheets, hoods, and without the confederate uniform.  What is the difference between then and now?  Back then, people did things more in the open.  Today, people are more subtle in their comments and police are on a rampage in killing the less fortunate.

Have You Ever Thought?

Have you ever thought you would be single for the rest of your life, and why?  This is my story.  I am middle-aged and I don’t have children.  The reasons for me not having children are rather personal to me as I don’t want to have a child out of wedlock.  I don’t judge others because I don’t want others to judge me.  What other people do, they do.  What I do, I do.

 

I have joined a lot of sites regarding dating.  These sites range from free sites to paying sites with a guarantee of finding your match or mate.  Like most people, I have criteria.  Some settle for things they choose to accept or think they have to in order to fall in love.  Others really settle for things they know they don’t want, yet they don’t want to be alone either.  Some things that I refuse to settle for are:

 

  • People who brag or boast about themselves ALL the time. This leads me to believe they are selfish.

 

  • Women who use a LOT of profanity. Don’t get me wrong, we all do it.  Even I use profanity at times when I am highly upset and angry.  We are human, but in everyday conversations and all that comes out of a woman’s mouth is profane language, that is an instant turn-off.

 

  • An obese woman. Our bodies change over time and we tend to gain a bit of extra weight.  I understand that.  However, I refuse to date any woman that weights more than I do or who is considered obese.

 

  • A woman with a lot of children. I have had issues with a lot of men who are the babies’ daddy.  Some women have kids by three or more men.  Some women tend to have children at a very young age because they believed the lifestyle of what a man had promised them.

 

  • A woman without access to a vehicle. I just got out of a relationship similar to this.  I live in one area and she lives in a completely different area.  The only way we got to see each other is if I drove to her location, which is almost two hours away.  I don’t mind taking the train, but that limits a lot of things to walking.  That is good on comfortable days, but not when it is raining or snowing.

 

  • Ghetto fabulous women.  Ghetto fabulous is a mindset where you are not working and looking for a handout in many ways.  These are the type of women who do not pronounce or talk properly when the mood calls for it.  A perfect example would be “ain’t no way,” “you is,” or “is you.”  That is poor grammar and how would it look taking a ghetto fabulous woman on a company-hosted function with her saying those words?  Sure, I use slang, but I understand when to use it and when not to use it.

 

I write a lot of women regarding their profiles, getting to know them, and looking for genuine conversations.  Unfortunately, I don’t get any response from them.  I do get messages from women who are not even close to my type.  They are those listed above.  I am far from a racist person.  After all, I am of mixed race.  There are a lot of women of European descent who are very obese that want to talk to me and beg me to meet them.  There are a lot of women of African descent with a village of kids that wants to meet me and beg me to talk to them.  There are a lot of women of all races who want me to talk to them or meet them because they have a bi-racial child.  There are a lot of women who believe I should be honored to be seen with them when others don’t even want them.  It gives me the impression that I am their LAST chance or resort.  I don’t believe in sex before marriage, but I am human so it may or may not happen.  I don’t believe in living together or shacking unless you are in the mist of getting married to each other.  Lots of people judge me on these things.

 

I believe these are the reasons why I am still single.  Do I have to bend for what I believe in just to get a girlfriend?    Do I really have to settle for things that I know I am not attracted to in order to get a girlfriend?  Everyone that I am attracted to are not attracted to me and vice versa; but I feel I should not have to settle for someone who I know I will have issues with later on in life just for the sake of being with someone.
